Vodafone (contract) blocked a work-related blog I like to follow - I phoned up and it transpired there was a single swearword in the one of the previous entries. Then it was "all or nothing" i.e. have a choice to be able to read a blog with a single occurrence of the word **** (and any other dodgy content at all) or not. Not very sophisticated, and for that reason (amongst others) I will be opting for no censorship thanks.Originally posted by VectraMan View PostMy TMobile phone blocks "adult" sites by default. I thought all the mobile operators were doing this? Or perhaps it's just because it's PAYG.
We all know how easy it is to get round, but then phase 2 will be blocking VPNs or any other encrypted traffic - after all if you're hiding something you must be guilty of something.
This is going to lead to some very interesting husband/wife conversations......(not for me thankfully).Comment

A long time back, I needed to see some examples of how XSLTs work. Went to the W3 website, and the examples page was blocked because it said "sex" instead of "gender" in the example XML.Originally posted by Peoplesoft bloke View PostVodafone (contract) blocked a work-related blog I like to follow - I phoned up and it transpired there was a single swearword in the one of the previous entries. I don't have much more faith in this government coming up with anything better.Comment

It is consumate politics - I'll give Dave that. Faced with braying proles from Mumsnet et al, he's once again found a way to make it look as if he's doing something whilst ensuring any fall-out will manifest itself as more ugly vigilantism and therefore not his fault.Comment
