like his point about excluding lesbians. Makes the objections seem as pathetic as they are.
My goodness, something worth reading in the Wail. He's written a few other pertinent articles too, it seems.

I may need to have a lie down.

An unfortunate side effect of the constant bombardment of images which objectify women (primarily for the pleasure of men, not for lesbians) is that some women do feel uncomfortable exercising in front of men. It's nothing to do with 'agenda-driven feminists' or men being 'attracted' to women - it's to do with women not wanting to be letched at. Whether or not men are letches, the fear is real, and the media is to blame.

"If these women have issues with their bodies, I truly sympathise - but it's their problem, not mine. Nor is it any other man's."

Bollocks I'm afraid. It is society's problem.

The problem with women golfers is that they stand too close to the ball..........after they have struck it!

        Just saying!

I like his phrase 'that's like trying to clean a dirty face by rubbing a mirror'.

Most people who haven't done any training look a bit wobbly and malcoordinated when they first go to a gym; all the more reason to go and get fit. Do you think fit assholes like me are laughing at you? I have news for you; we aren't. We're concentrating on our own training instead of looking at beginners. As for the trained and sometimes undeniably attractive women in gyms, yes, I look, and yes, I know that they look at fit, trained men and sometimes even at me. Get over it; it's how humankind has managed to reach 7 billion.

Oh, and if men do happen to look at you while you're training, you should feel encouraged; your training is obviously working.

Ah, the old "you should be flattered if I letch at you" line. Nice.

Why is it a problem at all? Men letching (women do not?) is part of the breeding process

What is happening here is that women just do not want to be letched at in an environment where they have little control over how and to who they present themselves. They don't mind being letched at where and when it suits them. In fact they want to encourage it at the party or ball.
If they simply did not want to be "letched at" they would trot off and live in Saudi Arabia in a bag that covers everything.

Women want it both ways and that is not a problem for us men.

Well you know 'letching' and 'looking at another human being' are not one and the same. Yes, sometimes people look at someone and find that person attractive; that's just biology. It's how people are made. Believe it or not, I'm capable of doing that AND behaving in a civil and sensible manner to a woman, and I think most men are capable of that. You won't do anything to solve the issues of a few idiots by having women only hours at gyms, in fact it'll probably get worse as the best thing that can happen is for those men to learn to deal with women in a decent fashion while the women learn to accept that people do indeed look at each other's bodies; that isn't going to happen if you start segregating the genders for normal activities like visiting the gym.

Actually I suspect it's ugly fat people who want to be seperated so people don't look at them, and the idea of this being a female-male issue is completely off track. Why not hold special ours for 'people with not much confidence' whether they're male or female? Extra PC, keeps everyone happy and avoids silly discrimination against men OR women.

there was a bird in Tescos with cut away jeans that had her bum cheeks hanging out. If I had said anything I would have been a dirty old perv
but when the young lads started hooting she loved it and started preening

It's these double standards that are annoying, plus the fact that I had to follow her down seven aisles to get a good ogg
