Yeh, probably get used to. Might not be so practical when 12 hour shifts come around shortly.
You're right though. Mrs is happy for me to stay over but I would feel a bit guilty.

On the plus side, had a good plan for next week. Staying in our caravan next week near site. So I get to drive less (20 miles), spend some time with family also. Even agreed to her mother going as well so she'll fine when I'm out at work.

I am sure your imaginary missus will be very happy for you to stay over, so that the milkman can get a leg over.

Time to retire this sockie SAS, its getting a bit boring and to be frank.

          Wish I hadn't moaned about 6am - 3pm now!
12 hour shifts. 8am-8pm. Too old for this... :-(

Leaves little time to get home in the evening. Basically, home for under 10 hours. Couple of hotel stays in order.

The 4 night shifts I'm down for in a few weeks is going to be worse.

Luckily, client is paying a premium to the standard day for the extended hours plus extra for nights. And Im off Friday.

LOL. Been a long long time since I worked PLANNED 12 hour shifts....

Bit different than when you rock up for a normal day, something goes wrong and you end up there for 12-15 hours. Time flies then.

When you're sitting there thinking, flippin heck still 10 hours left!

I can only hope your people are paid an obscene amount of money for those early starts.

Nope. Nothing extra for early starts it was done as goodwill.

1.5 offered for 12 hour shifts though (otherwise they could do one!).

It's the same as all good permies get.
