Why are wimbledon lady tennis players so fat?

I do not think the OP was calling them fat.
I think the question was more aimed at the angle, why are they not as slim as their male equivalents? Presumably the physical demands are just as severe etc.Comment

The OP has a point, if you compare the top women tennis players against the heptathletes from the Olympics.

It has always struck me as odd that Serena Williams is by any definition a little bit podgy, despite being probably the most successful sports woman in the world. Venus looked the part more.Will work inside IR35. Or for food.Comment
