You are allowed to undertake, if the flow of traffic dictates it, and not as a preemptive move to get past the dickwad stuck in the overtaking lane.

Maybe If we can find a traffic policeman then this might have an effect, they need to require video evidence to avoid another plebgate.

Imagine Lorries being fined for playing leapfrog, 50 mph specialists relinquishing the middle lane.

However without proper enforcement it will just result in outside lane sharks 'buzzing' middle lane hoggers.

I am sure all the lobbying on the forum has contributed. Does this now mean that when I tailgate the middle lane hogs, flashing my lights and sounding the horn until they move over, my wife won't shout at me anymore? If I take pictures of them while driving up behind them and send them in to plod will I get a commission?

The law hasn't changed, only the fining mechanism has moved from the courts to the roadside

That's the thing, the only pedestrians are tourists, for no Yank walks anywhere, there are barely any sidewalks in the states, as I have found out to my own cost a few times.
