My only accident (as a pedestrian) involved walking across the road with the green man when I walked into a bike who had crossed on red lights. Stupidly I had only been worried about cars and they had stopped.

I still have the scar on my hand to prove it.

Perhaps the cyclist was confused by seeing a lady out walking with a green man.

You're equating cycling dangerously to deliberately crashing into someone?

I have seen the blue men in concert, was it something like that?

Didn't realise there was a "cycling gang"

You do know that some people own and use both a car and a bike to get around?

Didn't the illustrious threaded once claim here that a manic Dutch driver had tried to mow him down on his bike, and actually drove half way across a field to try and catch him!?

Indeed. Especially the ones in Audis; I think they're generally provincial sales reps and fat middle managers, in a mad rush to get to their KPI meeting on time and justify the latest disappointing sales figures to the CEO's secretary. Opel Corsas seem to be in a hurry too.

Cycling dangerously has no victims? Get serious!

I have been back in London for about 4 weeks (that 2 to 3 days in London a week.) In that short time I have seen at least a dozen twats jump lights, 5 cyclists fail to stop at zebra crossings with pedestrians on them and one actual collision. Maybe that is just because Borough and Southwark are full of ******* on wheels, but until the cycling community put their own house in order and make it clear to the normally young males that its time for them to obey the rules of the road then Im afraid that sympathy earned or otherwise will be short coming.

Personally I favour enforced insurance to cover third partys and RFID tagged bikes and cyclists. It would not take long to catch the small number of arse holes that ruin it for the rest of you.

Yes and I'm even sure that a few of them don't turn into utter fsckwits as soon as they don some lycra. But unfortunately for the good ones the crap ones stick out like a sore thumb.
