My other half hates me being away from home...past baggage of his previous wife having an affair has made him a bit twitchy about what I get up to! Personally, I think it also has to do with the fact that he loses his cook, cleaner, laundrywoman and personal shopper for 5 days a week

That's a bit selfish of you. Couldn't you compromise a bit and do this at the weekend instead of expecting to do all the housework in your absence?

I did suggest getting someone in to do the cleaning and ironing whilst I'm away, but he went pale at the thought of spending any money on something that he gets done for free at the moment!

XLMonkey - just how many times a year do you move house???

On average, about twice. I like to have a flat for the week and a home for the weekend. It's easy to move when all you really need to be happy is a friendly face and a bunch of fresh bananas.
