Start with one genuine well paid job created in your business that otherwise would not exist and that is not designed solely to cut tax (ie - your wife would actually have to do real work if she is paid).

When you get to 10 such jobs we can talk on equal terms.

When you get to 10000+ jobs you can talk on equal terms with Sir Philip Green.

When you get to 100000+ jobs you can talk on equal terms with Sir Richard Branson.

If you actually live (reside) overseas (like wife of P Green) then it's reasonable that tax is paid there.

Start with by growing your business with 100 employees and 20-30 mln turnover with at least 2-3 mln profit.

First invoice is the hardest, and also the sweetest

11 months was exceptional, low value invoice, we stopped offering such wire/bank payment terms for that level of payments.

As I said my company is very lucky to be in sector where we paid payments upfront, regular customers pay monthly and in rare cases when somebody pays after 3-4 months we don't have any issues cashflow wise.

In many sectors it is a big problem however because a lot of businesses buy something to sell later - they have their own payment obligations, so chains grow and if they don't get paid quick then they can't buy other stuff - bad for economy.

Everyone knew these schemes were dodgy, and likely to end in tears over a decade ago. What kind of numpty was using them as late as 2004? Let alone 2008!?

The kind of numpties posting on this thread.
The ones who can't or won't see that running a real business is very different from being a "disguised employee" contractor.

Didn't say bye to you, matey. Don't start dishing it until you know the facts. But facts never bothered you have they?

I'm not going to get shafted actually.

Doesn't stop me arguing against retrospective taxation and HMRC behaviour throughout, as I believe it to be wrong under a British Justice system.

This is a BN66 thread, so I'm bored senseless with your banal exchanges with atw. Troll off somewhere else now, there's a good boy. Oh no, apologies... it's so easy to act like a tw*t isn't it?

Bye bye to you now as well.

I am also very disappointed with HMRC behavior in general and British Justice system in particular.

This scheme should have been ruled tax evasion back in 2001 and first convicted users and promoters should be released right about now on parole for good behavior - those of them who paid back full tax of course.
