oo a daily mail article, that will be informative.... *cough* ffs - keep this stuff on mumsnet where it belongs. Awful awful journalism.

In fact I'll go further and say that this is just downright offensive.

CLAIM: Only a tiny number of jobless families have large numbers of children reliant on the State for support.

REALITY: There are 160 families on out-of-work benefits with ten or more children. This figure was cited by the Left during the debate over the case of Mick Philpott from Derby, who killed six of his 17 children in a house fire and whose lifestyle was subsidised by taxpayers.

160 isnt a tiny number, out of 20 million potential claimants? Oh lets bring in a child murderer - cos thats what all working class scum are.

    Absolutely disgusting...

I tell you what, lets make them all wear armbands with a red circle on them and force all the gits to live in temporary accomodation where they can work for their keep... We'll call it a re-education camp.

116,000 with four or more children. that isn't a tiny number.
      275,000 with above average children.

there aren't 20million working age on benefits - disgusting reporting. 5.5 roughly.

The alignment with Philpott is disgusting and un needed agree.

Well, he's not claiming any more. So that's one less.
Pretty sure both his wife and mistress were working anyway. So not the best example.

          Fail.

Should have just said how many 4 bedroom detached houses in Chelsea could be purchased per year with all that money.

          About 2 or 3.
