"Oh, I had better ask you a software question. Erm ... what's a smart pointer?"

I answered and we carried on talking about weapons and armour.

Summarising experience and achievements isnt the issue. You've got to remember you're pitching your cv at probably a drone first then an account manager and if you get past that, client co HR.

(Has anyone seen these HR types at client co? they are usually washed up 50 year old women or people the client wants to sack but cant be arsed going through the process so give them brain dead jobs in the hope they resign. These are the people sifting through your cv's!)

I've found that very few people seem to read beyond halfway down the first page, but those that do read it all often have questions about older stuff, and are closely correlated with interesting gigs and good places to work.

My favourite was the first question in an interview the other year: "Could we just go back to your experience as a games developer in the 80s, not because it's relevant, but because it sounds really cool!"
Calibri 9 point throughout. Not too large, not too small. Doesnt look funny either.
I couldn't give two fornicators! Yes, really!

Wingdings 24 point ftw! Makes it look "interesting" and like I've "achieved" more.

Why would you use anything but Arial?
Practically perfect in every way....there's a time and (more importantly) a place for malarkey.

Yep, I'm sure that was how it used to be done.

There might well be a code concept of armour but we were talking about the stuff medieval knights wore.

True, if I could I would be in the back office with the rest of the paupers.

Mine works just fine with whatever it is ...... runs off to check ... Times New Roman 10pt

If I change it all to Arial it doesn't fit on two pages anymore -
Maybe this is where the multi pagers are going wrong!

Lucida Console looks good for the beardy geeky types though.
Won't get them a gig, but they'll feel at home.

Imagine getting 100 of these on your desk to review for each gig.
