I always have a side projects on the go, might not touch them for months at a time but I like to have a sandpit where I can mess about with new stuff, if I need to do any reading or research for them I don't mind spending a couple of hours on site doing it.
In a world where you get deskilling gigs from time to time it is the only way to keep ahead of the market.

WHS. Surely you've developed some sort of Agile scrum management tool (I'd call it hooker, personally) in something that will get you a job.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'
Suity you're jumping all over the place. Is he a BA, is a he a coder, is he a BPM consultant, fook knows.
I have a totally generalist skillset and have done PM, BA, BI, coding etc in Banking or Software or Retail or Manufacturing.
You've stated that you've been applying to 100s of roles but is that using one CV or multiple tailored CV?
Eg. A BPM consultant specialising in Retail, Supply Chain
Or a BA specialising in Logistics?
Or a PM in Banking?
I find this to be the area to focus in on, and then the reskilling you need fits in to one of these. I've seen someone do a five day Business Objecys course, tailor their CV and walk into a £500 a day contract the next week. (Took them two months to find out he was crap though ;-) )

Agree totally with everything you said. I just don't know how to tailor my CV to state I have vast experience in banking/finance/insurance when I don't. As these are the only sectors hiring, and they won't look at you unless you have this experience I am somewhat at a loss as to what to do.
