If UKIP are the answer, then it must have been a very stupid question. -

I am a bob and a lurker for a long time on this forum. I have just registered to provide a POV direct from the horse's mouth, so to speak.
Firstly, I came here a decade ago when a UK company hired me and sponsored me for a specific skillset that was not available here. So I am not part of the ICT wave.
That out of the way, although I am from India, when I read posts about Bobs and dress sense, culture, body odour I actually "nod my head" at the post. Unlike the OP I am not offended in any way. Why ? Because once I was here I spent a huge amount of effort in learning the british culture and integrating here. This meant giving up a lot of cultural things that we do naturally if we were back in India.
However, what particularly annoys me is that a large amount of guys who come here as a wave do not particularly care about the culture here. You hear them talking loudly in Hindi to anybody who is from India. Many bobs try it with me and I tell them straight away to talk to me in English. Instantly they dislike me. Coming to body odour issue. This is another bug bear of mine. How difficult is it to groom yourself ? Have a proper bath, lots of deo, underarm deo, splash of body spray, and done! But no, they come over all sweating and puffing and stinking.
Food. What can I say ? The only food they know is curry. FFS. They have no inclination to try local food. They don't look around to see what others are eating. No inclination to try a sarnie or salads and stuff. They want curry every day. If there is a company dinner they want curry. FFS.
There are more and I can go on all day. When you come here you should adapt to this country and culture. End of.Comment
