I hadn't watched the full hour video, only the bit with my 'trap'. However watching later on I see her pick up some cash from my wife's desk (which I didn't even know was there) and pocket it.

She put it in her pocket to clean the desk, and forgot to put it back...
I think you should involve the police. People coming into your home are on special trust, and a lot of vulnerable people use cleaners.

Now get her to repent and then forgive her, it's only right.

Actually I am called to forgive regardless . TBH I don't particularly feel any animosity towards her anyway, just annoyed we have to sort it out and get a new cleaner.
Realistically, what on earth would the police do for petty theft like this? If someone is poor and steals and spends it, then is forced to pay it back, that increases their need to steal.
Heh. They are under special instructions not to clean/tidy her desk as it's a tip. You could see her come over, look around and then pocket the cash.

Balls... she's quite a nice lass too.
Sod that. I would go nuts if I allowed someone into my house and they nicked even £1 off me.....
