Never mind that, my ebay suggestions have gone totally scatty. I searched for a popular brand of audio mixer and it suggested "frilly panties" and "bowler hat". WTF?

Who broke vodafone?

While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.' -
Is your phone on a personal contract rather than business?
I've found that with Vodafone, TMobile and others: if you are a personal customer , you get transferred to Bob who will waste your entire day. If you are a business customer, you get transferred to someone in England who will answer the phone straight away and deal with it efficiently.
I've found that anyone can sign up for a business contract, even without a VAT no. or company. They don't even ask you to prove you are self employed.'Orwell's 1984 was supposed to be a warning, not an instruction manual'. -

You shouldn't have to in this day and age, but when dealing with the likes of Vodafone, or Three who I've found make Vodafone look competent, I've found the best thing, even with a business account, is to go into store and harangue someone. PITA but gets results.
And another thing. If you email vodaphone, I've found they always reply 24 hours later +/- a few minutes - I think they stack all emails and only send them at 24 hours just to throttle demand. Even if you reply almost immediately, it's still another 24 hours...Comment

Support teams are usually pretty crap. The other day I couldn't log in to my broadband account and had obviously tried all the normal reset password stuff and I explained that but still got a standard email telling me how to use the reset password stuff. Gone through three hosting companies because support was so bad. They just don't read what they are sent. Hate to say it, but most competent technical support I have ever come across is HMRC's.bloggoth

I worked there once (18 years ago). It looks that aside from the location of the support staff, nothing much has changed.Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!Comment
