what's the expected monthly net income for a £350/day contract job?
How much do you want it to be?
There's a sticky thread in Legal and Accounting that will answer that question, as well as explaining why umbrellas are a bad idea (always wear a hat myself...)
Last role I did was £350 a day which is plenty if you ask me! That's still £96k a year if you work all year so it probably lands about the £75k mark after prospecting and holidays.
Contractors with a reputation of being expensive are the ones that fall the hardest when bad times hit.
If I divide my permie salary for the days I worked last year (and no, have only had two\three weeks of sickness) I already calculated 360 a day. How can 350 a day be plenty? You are a cheap monkey, if I can tell you.
I've seen much of the rest of the world. It is brutal and cruel and dark, Rome is the light.
