The idea is to attract a better standard of executive to become MPs.
If you were a half-decent manager, which would you rather do? Earn £65,000 and get slagged off by all and sundry in the public trying to do an impossible job, or earn at least twice as much working in the relative privacy of a company boardroom?Comment
