    This could hardly be a worse time to be asking for any rise at all.

    It just makes them sound like stupid gravy-train w@nkers.

      HHeard a tory MP on R4 last night sayingif we are not careful we will only get people who think £65000 is a lot of money ....... called for sympathy for MPs having to tell their children they wont get the Christmas presents they wanted ....

              I wouldnt object to higher salaries for MPs as long as they worked full time and didnt do other jobs on the side.
