      15th March for end of first 6 month contract at current ClientCo, then I'll know how much of the "we have work for you for 2 years" was BS.

        Back to work on Monday for me after 3 weeks off, dreading it!

        Current renewal is until the end of the month then there is talk of it extending until June or September 13. Best rate I have ever earned but the commute and work is doing my head in. Made the sensible decision to suck it up if the renewals materialise, would really like to move and that would be my deposit. I've stuck a schedule of a flat I like to the fridge to motivate me - hope it works!

          <checks contract>

          7th February for me, it seems. That's a Thursday

          Ah well, there's a fair-to-moderate chance of an extension.

            odd the way extension dates work. one place was start on, say, 6th and finish on 6th. So next would start on 7th and finish on 7th! So each contract was 1 year + 1 day!

                    So far for this year:

                    Project 1: 8 days
                    Project 2: 12 days
                    Project 3: 26 days
                    Project 4: 24 days
                    Project 5: 6 days
                    Project 6: 18 days

                    Projects 1-5 in the same location, project 6 remote. Projects 1 and 2 I've already been paid for - client using up last year's budget.

                    Most of these are to end of March, so it's quite intensive.

                      WTS - I did 3 years once and vowed never to do it again. 12 months ish and I loose the will to work for them and is the reason I started contracting. Just jumped ship after 14 months and it was 3 months too long. Now looking forward to the next gig although ominously, was told the project was for 3 years, and I have a six month contract to start.
