Mr N pretty much raided my wish list on amazon.

He also bought me a meat grinder and sausage stuffer accessory for my kitchen aid and the Complete Boucuse cook book for my birthday.

Used the meat grinder yesterday to grind up a decent cut of meat to make mince instead of the crap they usually peddle over here in the butchers and have ordered some sausage casing, so looking forward to decent sausages.
Oooh, loving the grinder! Nice one.

Well in the Chrissie swag bag, I found:

      1. Black spaghetti

      2. A wooden spoon

      3. Another wooden spoon

      4. Some chilli oil

      5. Another wooden spoon

      6. Some socks

      7. Some underwear

      8. Some gold coins. Chocolate.

      9. A sachet of dried basil

      10. A cardigan

      My family hate me.

        1) Phillips Air Fryer
        2) a few XboX Games
        3) Jewellery making kit (I was recently told I needed an off-screen hobby. Apparently this is it now...)
        4) Potato chipper to go with Air Fryer

That's from the other half. My mother is paying for my new bathroom and new combi boiler as a birthday/christmas/wedding present.

Let me know how the chips are. How do they compare to triple cooked chips, for instance?

Not going to buy one unless I can try the chips, so a bit difficult really...

Is that the one which you just throw in a spoon-full of oil, I think I saw it on GadgetMan and was quite interested. Similarly by the vacuum-cooking water bath for steak.

I'm not sure I've tried triple cooked chips before, but the Air Fryer really does make awesome chips. Haven't tried anything but chips in it yet (homemade and frozen), but I'd say for chips alone it's already worth it.

Yes, that's the one. And that's just for homemade chips. Anything frozen generally doesn't need any additional oil. The Air Fryer is similar to the Tefal ActiFry, but the ActiFry has that rotating blade that makes it totally unsuitable for softer foods.

I'm a sucker for kitchen gadgets.

Thanks for the reply formant. The triple cooked chips process is quite involved but leads to the amazing "crunchy on the outside, mash potato'd soft on the inside" but as implied, take a bugger of a long time to prepare.

                    See here for picture.

Love to taste some of those air-cooked chips just to compare, because if they are as good as the aforementioned, I'd buy it in an instant!

Air cooked, doesn't work as well as it says on the tin unfortunately.

If you want proper chips then you just have to brace your arteries and deep fry.

                      Whoever heard of diet fries???
