sadly the creator of Thunderbirds, Terrahawks and Fireball XL5 (and numerous others) Gerry Anderson ,has passed away.

Thinking back, it was the best sci-fi kids tv we ever had.

Best thing about Space 1999 was the opening titles especially the nuclear explosion that changed the Moon's orbit.
