We're having truffle canapes (h/t Norrahe), smoked salmon and creme fraiche hors d'ouevres, turkey and roast beef for the main, then Christmas pud and a chocolate dessert one of the guests is bringing followed by local cheese.
Saving the company Xmas do for Bologna in February....my quagmire of greed....my cesspit of laziness and unfairness....all I am doing is sticking two fingers up at nurses, doctors and other hard working employed professionals...

We're not sure if we're going with goose leg or rack of venison yet (depends on what the cloggy poulterer has in stock), as there's only two of us.
Starter is home cured gravadlax and soda bread.
Sides with the main are crushed carrots and parsnips and pureed sprouts with chestnuts and spek. I'm picking up the cheese today - colston basset and shropshire blue.
Wines are all chosen, need to pick up a nice madeira ( verdehlo) to go with the cheese. Champagne will be picked up from duty freeLast edited by norrahe; 20 December 2012, 14:04.Comment
