    In to drug addicts?

On a more serious note Simon has a habit of dropping winners who he thinks are no good and those who don't win but have decent marketability get deals. Hence we are afflicted with One Direction.

I tried to watch it, I really did, but couldn't come to any other conclusion than it was utter tulip:. It's not a talent show, it's a marketing opportunity for Syco. Now, that's fair enough for those that realise that (and you reap what you sow), but you still get those deluded hopefuls that think it's something else.
Nasty. Has a whiff of old-style loony bins where people used to pay to torment the afflicted.

Still - look on the bright side, eh?
Never watched it, but I thought the clowns were weeded out in early rounds, leaving a fair bit of talent in later rounds

I assume it's about ancient Rome? I am reading the Iliad at the moment (in an attempt to read through a selection of the Western Canon), starts with the Greek epics and then onto Roman classics and onward from there.

They're using new technology (satellite and laser mapping) to get more info about the landscape and architecture to fill in gaps in their knowledge.
