    The motobility scheme does not provide a free car. Motobility allows you to lease/hire a vehicle, by spending your disability allowance. If you don't want the car, you still get the allowance.

    My mum's got one and it's not a stupid deal, something like £300/month IIRC which is in the same ballpark as buying on HP except they replace the car every few years and provide insurance, servicing, etc.

      Yes, but putting it like that wouldn't stir up much debate. I'm misinformed by having half read some outraged Express/Mail articles.
