I'm going to vote UKIP next election. EU is not a burning issue for me though i don't see the point in it any more. However, they have some pretty good economic and taxation policies which the country really needs to become competitive again.

Thats the view they seem to have taken. However, my view would have been to hit hard with massive cuts from the word go, blaming Labour all the way (which wouldnt have been a lie). By the time of the next election the bad medicine would have been taken and things would have been improving and there would have been a good chance of them getting in again as they would have been successful.

Instead we have the same policies, Labour-lite. The people who voted tory didnt want more of the same, they wont vote for them again, I certainty wont. Those who votes Liberal wont do that again either. A lot of the disaffected with vote UKIP. But although Id like to say that UKIP will do something significant by 2015, my prediction is that Labour will win with a significant majority.

Come 2015 all the sheep will be voting TorLab.
And BNP got significant votes at one point too. Until the election, when everyone voted LabCon as normal.

Are you thinking of the European parliament seats? I voted for them in that one.

turn out was about 30% in the cold, so hardly worrying.

IMO people use these shock votes to stir the pot, but come a general election they soon revert to form, look at the LibDems in the by elections. Nick Clegg was seen as some form of saviour.. once the votes were counted however, it was much the same results with mostly Labour and Tory swings votes.

If only. A country primarily concerned with its own people, imagine how wonderful that would be.

A country concerned with people would be a good start before we decide which people we're going to narrow it down to.
