Not really sure what she's doing in the list. She won a gold medal in the rowing with a partner. Don't see how one can be nominated but not the other...

Been a lot of sporting successes this year but Wiggins should win I think. I wonder how far down the "long list" the first footballer was?

      My 1-2-3 will be
      1. Farah
      2. Wiggo (Olympian and TdF)
      3. Murray (Olympian and Tour Winner)

2 and 3 have achieved in their sports outside of the Olympics

I totally forgot that there can only be one winner and that man is John Terry.

He will stride onto the platform and hold the trophy aloft

You can get 66-1 on the little swimmer. How about we all pile in? Surely we can organise some sort of web based campaign between us?

Agree on the three people, but the order could be any permutation of those.

In any other year, bookies probably would have already paid out on Murrary. Reaching the final of Wimbledon - and then winning another Grand Slam (and he did win Olympic gold as well).

Maybe if Murray was English he'd have a greater chance

It's either Wiggins or a paralympian to be seen to be doing the right thing IMO.

Wiggins has about as much personality as a cyclist!
