Yeah that's a lot of development and effort to beat the record.
For those that like to go at half the speed i.e c30kn , there are lots of alternatives . Quite exhilarating and you steer it with your feet
. At far less cost too iirc around 15k will get you one inc trailer.
Or the Magnum and plenty of others. Boat show has been and gone now though
