    PRESENTATION :: L'HYDROPTÈRE - Alain Thébault

    After having crossed the Channel faster than Blériot did by plane in 2005, Hydroptere beat two world speed records ratified by the World Sailing Speed Record Council (WSSRC) on 4th April 2007: 44.81 knots of average speed over 500 meters and 41.69 knots of average speed over one nautical mile.

    Yeah that's a lot of development and effort to beat the record.

    For those that like to go at half the speed i.e c30kn , there are lots of alternatives . Quite exhilarating and you steer it with your feet . At far less cost too iirc around 15k will get you one inc trailer.

    Or the Magnum and plenty of others. Boat show has been and gone now though
