I'm one of those people who thinks John Major didn't do such a bad job at all. In fact, at the end of his period in government, the books were balanced and UK business was very competitive.

Has John Major been given an unfairly rough ride by the press, his own party and the public? Was he not considerably better at his job than the 2 labour prime ministers that followed him?
