How does a person differentiate between believing something because of God's intervention and believing it because:

They are mad?

A different supernatural power has influenced them?

How does someone else tell whether the person who claims that he 'knows' God has spoken to him is telling the truth?
Why does God speak to so many different people and tell them such radically different things? Often directly causing harm and suffering to others in the process.

Assuming Jesus was real (there is no historical evidence for it) and assuming his miracles actually happened, how do we determine whether Jesus was telling the truth about the source of his powers?

Why has no faith healer ever managed to heal an amputee?
