Oh dear, it looks like George has form for this kind of thing: "Ticket inspector on my train just got a high five: george osborne tried to sit in 1st class with a std tkt. Inspector said NO" - @Larrylarrylal, 28 May 2012 at 17:44

N.B. Twitter links to old tweets are a bit dodgy, so here's a screenshot:

It must be pretty crap travelling by train when you're an MP. Nowhere to escape!

Ah yes, all the entitled pigs are born with a taxpayer funded silver spoon in their mouths.

Apart from the MPs from poor families... up north we still have some of those.

According to R4 this morning, std class was full so George and aides sat in first. Aide was packed off to go and find the conducter to pay for the upgrades.

I'd rather simply issue them a special "MP travel pass" which gets a 1st-class seat IF one is free. I've no problem a tiny % of my tax used to let them travel 1st, considering how much time they must spend travelling.

                Hmm... a smell a poll.

That's what George's (or should I say Gideon's) lot say. That means they're accusing the ITV journalist, who says she overheard his aide initially refusing to pay, of lying. She was sticking by her story last time I looked.

Politician accuses journalist of lying. That usually works out well for the politician…

There is still no tax on pork pies I see.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'
