My two year old uses my iPad all the time. It has a decent case (Marware Hybrid) and screen protector. No damage yet expect for the time I gave her my stylus and she found the exact angle (I could hardly replicate it) required to scratch the screen protectorNo big deal just replaced the screen protector (£30 though!)
Other than that no issues with her using it and she can fully work it on her own. Quite amazing really. I just think the ones aimed at kid are terrible. And you can by some really good cases to stop them destroying your iPad so if you can afford it why not ?Comment

I'm about to set up OpenDNS. Looks just the ticket - control at the router level. I'd be interested to hear any opinions on it.Back at the coal faceComment

I don't use any parental control, per se, other than self policing. There are search engines, which you can easily disarm, but we only let them use it with us, or the same room.
The problems we have had, are with moshi moshlings rooms, and pengiun rooms, which seem full of ne'er do wells and peados. That was when they used the laptop, and desktops to play. Luckily, it doesn't work on iPads, or didn't on iOS5, and they haven't tried it since.Comment
