Best Nobel Peace Prize ever

Strangely, many of the people who object to the EU getting the prize also objected to Medecins Sans Frontieres getting the prize. They were however fully supportive of the prize going to Doctors Without Borders.

I suppose giving the EU a Nobel Prize on account of six decades of not being the powder keg that ignited two world wars in the early half of the twentieth century is marginally less stupid than giving Barack Obama the same prize for six seconds of not being George Bush.

Before the EU there was some wealth in Europe worth fighting for. Now it's an economic wasteland no warrior would waste any time over.

Or in other words yes the EU has prevented wars in Europe. But only by causing the same level of harm to it as would be suffered by each side if they lost..
