You mean how you ran away from the thread yesterday, when it was pointed out that Japan, S. Korea and Taiwan all got richer through protectionism?
Or the fact that you've resolutely refused to acceppt the fact that the US was highly protectionist between from the 19th C. to 1945, in direct contradiction to your assumption that it practiced free enterprise?

You see why you've become the laughing stock of this forum?

Read what I said; you said 'these people'. I contest that. While net employment grew, it wasn't necessarily the people who'd lost their jobs who took on the new jobs, and some areas of industrialised countries have never recovered. New employers will tend to hire young people fresh from school or with a couple of years work experience; very few in some new, growing sector will hire middle aged people who've spent their working lives in a sector that has gone into decline.

It is all very well making these sweeping statements but there are questions that spring to mind. If employers are as you say preferring to take young people "fresh from school" then why is youth unemployment such a huge concern through Europe?
Good point, but look at the nature of the skills; some employers are fighting to get skilled young people to join, in some sectors while some young people can't get a job because they don't have the right skills; you're actually confirming my point that it's a complex situation where you simply don't have one lost job being replaced by another gained job; that isn't how it works; you know that because you're an agent; you won't employ a pipe fitter as a java programmer or vice versa; the idea that a lost job is automatically replaced by some other job somewhere else is nonsense.

Why don't you just go to the thread and see the response?

You might have done better advising his mother to use a cap.

Robinho is Andyw or that ToryRory fella. Both of them were young naive and obnoxious with half baked opinions. That was until someone kicked ToryRory's head in at a party for being an utter cock.
