Did you ask if there was a typo with the rate, should it have been £1800 a day?Keeping calm. Keeping invoicing. -

Another possible (but much less likely) explanation is that they're content for someone to work from home and anticipate only two or three hours a day would be needed to keep everything ticking over.Originally posted by Mich the Tester View PostThey might be advertising to demonstrate they've sought candidates on the EU market but couldn't find anyone, which opens the path for bringing in someone on an intra company transfer.
If that is so then it might suddenly look quite an attractive rate for someone already working from home on something else.Work in the public sector? Read the IR35 FAQ hereComment

I did and she apologised profusely and admitted she isn't going to get anyone at that rate... I could live with more agents like this.Originally posted by doomage View PostDid you ask if there was a typo with the rate, should it have been £1800 a day?'CUK forum personality of 2011 - Winner - Yes really!!!!

900 pound a week is still a lot of money in the UK. Let's get some perspectiveOriginally posted by northernladuk View PostI called a gig a few months ago that were looking for Senior Service Managers with budget responsiblity for £180 a day. First thing I asked about is the rate and the poor agent (did I really say that??!?!?) sounded crestfallen. Very apologetic and sounded as pissed off as I was but insisted that is what the client is looking for. Pointed out only bobs would consider that rate and she just sighed. Actually felt sorry for her at the end.
Agents are not pleased with this carry on either it seems.Comment
