Solicitors charge anything up to 200 or 300 pounds an hour, and is a senior PM any less skilled in their own way?

You don't get paid for skill but for what the market can stand. Solicitors and doctors charge a lot because if they didn't, people wouldn't spend nearly 10 years getting qualified.

£30k-ish for a PM job is not unusual. Even if it should be.

I've never met a decent PM who wasn't on 60k or more.
