Mists of Pandaria, the new WOW expansion.

To be clear I do not play WOW.

Borderlands 2 on the 21st. May take a look at GW2 if BL2 sucks.

TBH I've lost interest in MMO's having played WoW and tried out a lot of the other big names in the mean time.

I was waiting for Warhammer 40K before I tried another MMO, but thats been turned into a single player / multiplayer online game now

We had an unfortunate schism in our Guild and as a result of that I tried SWTOR (WoW in Star Wars universe, great if it was the first MMO, but just WoW tbh), The Secret World (buggy), BF2 (too many hyper kids).

Main thing is that MMORPG games are only good if you are playing with friends.

Have ended up playing L4D2, and on my own LA Noire.

Love mindless zombie killing and tactics with my best friends with L4D2 - we all love the camaraderie, mandatory group covering tactics and the cathartic release of mindless killing of the undead (insert RL team leads of your choice).

When the WoW pandas surfaces the Guild will reconvene but I suspect we will never recapture the first time excitement.

I have met my fellow guildies and they have wined and dined over at mine: Norwegians, Swedes and UK-ers. Very odd speaking to these ladies and gents on Skype for years and finally meeting them in RL - an experience I'll never forget - lovely people.

I like games I can drop in and out of without carrying around with me for the rest of the day. I think WOW, GW etc would have me strategising all day.

Surely a light year is a distance measurement, not a time measurement.

A light-year, also light year or lightyear (symbol: ly), is a unit of length

I agree totally... I play casually and never see any decent content really but am a die hard D&D'er so Wow is right up my street but ******* kung fu pandas takes the biscuit for me as well. Right off the back of the two cartoon films it's a joke.

Anyways, it took hours to download, and there was a problem registering, but I played an hour tonight

as a Hero warrior type. I cant be doing with all that airy fairy, wishy washy , namby pamby, arty farty magic stuff. or that skulking around ranger stuff. Its the Boromir way for me.

What I liked, was that there was no big preamble, no training scenario

I started playing, and straight away there were fireballs and sparklers whizzing past me ead. I didnt even know how to move.

So I did a runner to the inn, worked out how the movement controls worked. Killed a few beasties. practiced a bit of inventory and sp skills.
now I am a terrifying level 3 warrior, mastered the bandits cave, never been killed, and I have 53 weird coins.

so I need HJ to give me some advice

I'm playing a gnome type character, like studying and setting things on fire. I like the cut scenes and the events that are sprung you. Could GW2 be a WoW killer ...?
