If it's not retrospective tax you're not going to end up owing then that's just vigilante Robin Hoodism. Just admit you want to shaft them, don't try and paint it as some form of morality!

So your greed had nothing to do with it?

So you're advocating paying more tax than necessary?

When does tax avoidance become greed, immoral, unfair?

Usually when the next man is getting more than you are.

        Isn't that envy?

          Nothing to do with envy.
Its poor judgement to take home what some of those schemes were offering. Also greedy IMO.
I would always have the niggling feeling that I would get done one day and so they have.

I'm still sticking tenners down young girls knickers.*

Mind you, I'm not always drunk when doing so.

I will continue to help the UK economy in this manner for as long as I can.

              Blame fractional reserve banking.

A system almost designed to create debt bubbles.

It was a dodgy gamble that didn't pay off. It's time to pay up and not coward out. You don't mess with HMRC.

I will happily fight HMRC on levels terms. Prospective law changes are fine. Retrospective is not.

Anyway not a great deal I can do at this stage. No savings. So they can do what they want.
