As a kid in the 70s we all believed we'd be living on Mars & the Moon in the future. Almost 100 years between Julius Caesar's expeditions to Britain and the Roman invasion in 43AD, decades between the first Brit to sail to North America and the first British settlement, ditto Antarctica, etc (probably).Work in the public sector?
