No. But with the greatest possible respect*, you are not responsible for moderation of these forums, and you are not the owner of the forums, so we don't have to run the forums according to your sense of fair play.

*In the Sir Humphrey Appleby sense of the term.
Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!

      Was thinking just that too.

      Have a good day.
The phrase "less use than a chocolate teapot" comes to mind.

Quite right, lots of people have more than one job concurrently. Only reasons I can think this would be disallowed would be if the current employer disallowed it in the employment contract (but this case seems to be employer sanctioned), or if as alreadypacked hints at it requires a UK work visa.

Can't see why you'd need a P45. The existing employer can keep you on their payroll but not pay any salary if they want to. The new employer would complete a P46 in this case.

*Ah, the "**** you bitch" corollary. Know it well, as does Julian Assange.

Actually, this was first posted in General, and moved by a more charitable mod than me. I moved it back following a complaint.
I normally delete this crap on sight. "brand new FM"?

FM = Family Member. We're all family here.
What happens in General, stays in General.

Be careful RH! If admin decides there are too many mods we know who will be first to get the push!

At my last IB there were a few who took "career breaks". In fact they were actually let go - but portrayed it as a career break. They lost all benefits. The IB was under no obligation to give them work again. Its not like maternity leave.

Sorry for rudely interrupting this argument with facts. Please carry on.

I didn't say I was responsible for moderation here, and I didn't say that I owned CUK (I think that might be another narcissistic ex-moderator FM that regularly claims to own this forum that you're thinking of in these respects).

What I did was ask a question. I realise you may still be a little raw from the widespread and justified criticism of your unfathomable decision to ban Clippy last week, but that's no reason to go jumping down anyone else's throat for asking a civil question.

If this was first posted in General, then it's more understandable that it could be identified as a trolling attempt. Although, for a person's first post, I'd personally still be inclined to give them the benefit of any doubt. I have a rule in life that I treat people with respect, until and unless they prove to me by their actions that they don't deserve it. Asking one (not very) naive question doesn't cross that threshold.

By the time I saw this thread, it had been moved from Business/Contracts into General, along with your statement, "I cordially introduce you to General". That was the only moderation comment in the thread at the time. So hopefully you can understand why I thought you had introduced it to General as opposed to merely undoing another moderator's decision.

As for undoing another moderator's decision merely because someone else complained about it, isn't complaining about moderation decisions on here usually referred to as "bed wetting"? I guess going back to NAT's comment that must mean that you guys don't moderate or make decisions on this forum either: whomever shouts loudest and appears to have the majority of the mob behind them seems to be the person you guys listen to at the time, even if it means undoing one of your peer's decisions.
