Aye, it was the George. Landlord was lovely, food was great, clientele leaved a bit to be desired.

A few years ago I made a few quid out of ebay (I was permie at the time and skint).
It was when the wii first came out and the first xmas it was impossible to get hold of them. But amazon germany and amazon france had a fair few so I bought some euro adaptor plugs and a shedload of these from amazon for cost price (about £170).

Sold them on ebay for £250 so even with fees made about £50 per item. Must have sold 20-30 so made a few quid.

Few years before this I sold a few tv tuners for the nintendo GBA. Some place in china I could get them for about £6 but they went for £20 on ebay. Sold loads. Then got cocky and thought I'd try to dropship them direct to buyer from china but the knobheads left the invoice in the package.

Some guy emailed me saying he was going to phone the police (WFT!) because I'd charged him £20 and it only cost £6 and therefore it was fraud!!!! Not sure what to say. I did point out to him that he better tell the police about tescos too because I'm sure they pay less for the cornflakes than the price they sell to you.

Other money-making schemes over the years (not ebay). Doing offers on casinos with quidco cashback, and/or first deposit bonuses (playing blackjack). Made about £3K a few years ago.

Matched betting a few years ago. Again where you take up intro offers and match the bet on betfair so you cant lose. Made about £1500 a few years ago on this too.

Never really got into those betting offers but I did do a few though a cashback site - open an account with £20 and get £30 reward. Sadly literally every single bet I placed lost but who cares.

Nah. Thats not the way to it. You place a bet on the betting site, then lay the bet (i.e. act as the bookie in effect) on betfair.

For instance, sometimes it'll be like bet £30 get £30 free bet once its settled.

So, you place a bet for £30 (e.g. liverpool to beat everton) then you lay the bet on betfair (basically, take on role of bookie so that people get paid out by you if they bet on liverpool). So you cant lose. (well you do lose a bit its not that simple because bet/lay odds are different)

You do need a bit of a float in betfair to cover the lay but if you do it properly you should lose only about 5% of your stake. (e.g. £1.50 in this case).

But now you've got a free £30 bet to play with. Do the same again (losing 5%). So now, from your bet you lost £1.50 from their bet you lost £1.50 but with the free £30 bet your now £27 up. Profit.
