My attitude with regards to your posts is as follows, "I'm not sure about who or what you are, or what your motives are in ressurecting a log-in that was unused for a such lengthy period of time."

Well, allow me to explain. I wasn't here for most of the last five years because I was either in-contract or in a permie role for all of that time. I was too busy making money to post in here. I popped in to read from time-to-time, but, at the risk of sounding russell-esque, from an outsider's perspective it seemed to be a fairly unfriendly a place to actually interact with. I appreciate that robust type of interaction is part and parcel of what you get when you choose to be a member of CUK, and I chose not to participate for that reason.

This year's been an unusually quiet one in my neck of the woods, so I found myself on here and other places like JobServe more often, and I decided that I did want to interact again. To be honest, it'd been so long since I'd last logged in, I'd actually forgotten my log-in details. So I registered again (using the login "Leitmotif"), but found I couldn't post, edit my new profile, send a PM to Admin to ask for help in getting started, or do anything a normal member could do. It took a day or so going through my old e-mails in a now-disused e-mail address to rediscover my login details for "Gentile", which login details I've now updated.

I trust that helps explain who I am and where I come from. Despite frequent distrust and allegations to the contrary, I'm nobody's sockie or alternative login, and I've no significant history on CUK or with anybody thereon other than the preceding two months' worth. CUK does seem to have a large problem with sockies. And, according to Admin, sockies are actually part of the culture here, even if they're not 100% accepted. Perhaps that's part of the reason why there's so much mistrust and misunderstanding of newbies, as well as old members that haven't posted in some time who decide to interact after a long break.

Having worked in more than one Jewish owned establishment both in the UK and Israel I was surprised by sasguru's post.

In the 5 years that you've been a member of this forum you will have witnessed loads of crap posted by myself and others yet you latched on to that one post and in my opinion took it wildly out of context. I can't help that.

I've offered you all the explanation I'm prepared to give via an anonymous forum. If your opinion still stands then there's nothing I can do to change that. So mote it be.
