I'd still go for a longbow. It may slightly slower at 250 mph but it's going to go much further then a shuttlecock or slingshot & hurt a damn sight more.Originally posted by Old Greg View PostSling shot is what you need. What happens in General, stays in General. You know what they say about assumptions!Comment

Handy if you have a pile of sharp stones. The Romans used Balearic sling shotters as auxiliary troops who were handy swimmers as well for attacks across rivers.Originally posted by Doggy Styles View PostWas that faster? It did for Goliath.Comment

We moved away from shuttlecocks to sharp stones hit with badminton raquets at 200+ mph.Originally posted by MarillionFan View PostI'd still go for a longbow. It may slightly slower at 250 mph but it's going to go much further then a shuttlecock or slingshot & hurt a damn sight more.
A longbow would be better, but ammo wouldn't be as plentiful. Just wondering, did the ancient greeks have longbows? All the pictures I've seen are those piddly little ones.Comment
