          Handy if you have a pile of sharp stones. The Romans used Balearic sling shotters as auxiliary troops who were handy swimmers as well for attacks across rivers.

              We moved away from shuttlecocks to sharp stones hit with badminton raquets at 200+ mph.

              A longbow would be better, but ammo wouldn't be as plentiful. Just wondering, did the ancient greeks have longbows? All the pictures I've seen are those piddly little ones.
