Are you saying a socialist should deliberately take a low-paying job? Being a socialist doesn't make it a socialist world, living in one system while desiring another isn't a problem.

Socialism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
When an esteemed member of a Surrey branch of the Labour Party died, it was felt that in accordance with socialist principles, the oldest car of the representatives should be used to attend the funeral.

That was Ken Follett's Rolls Royce.
Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!

His featherbedded existence hardly puts him on the same wavelength as 'the workers'. It's a bit like programming after only having read books. Moreover, his old man is hardly a solid moral compass. One Blair was enough for me.

He can do what he likes as long as he does'nt go around preaching about using state schools and foisting shoddy public services on the rest of the population who cannot afford to get out of the public service trap.

You have a lot to learn.. Wikipedia won't help with something as contentious as this either.

In response to the OP - Isn't another word for a rich socialist a philantropist ? Seriously though, I think he may do well.

Yes, and the private sector did an excellent job too didn't they? G4S , the difference being that they took a shed load more cash - 20+ mil of it in "Management fees" for mismanagement.

Socialism has nothing to do with philanthropy. A social conscious is nothing to do with socialism although socialists like to think that wearing the badge makes them show that they do indeed have a social conscience.
A socialist is someone who has nothing and wants to share it with everyone else.. I am off again

                      G4S is not a monopoly.
