Nonsense, they were simply competing in the "tramp olympics" - a lesser known sister event that takes place at the same time. Individual events include:

• 40 yard stumble (road event - from the underside of a bridge to the pub)
• High piss (arena: a lift in a council towerblock. Extra points awarded for spray and smell)
• 26 minute Swearathon (judge: anyone that'll listen)

Winners get a can of Gold label, second place a new hat, third - a bag of chips. 100% coverage live on channel 5.
