They do, although rarely for the areas you have detailed. However if you don't try you won't find.

d000hg is right, even though his part time roles are pushing trolleys at Lidls and cleaning toilets at his local train station, you probably need to know someone to get those kinds of hours.

I reckon pushing trolleys would be a nice relaxing job actually.

Done 3 or 4 day roles twice now (and how nice they are!!) although both times it was at renewal of a full time contract where I said i'd renew but wanted to drop a day or two from the week. Both times they were happy with that as it saved them cash and it was mid/end of project so having me there full time wasn't essential.

Problem is that new contract roles normally arise because a project is in the tulip or something needs doing asap so they are normally a full time requirement. Saying that though, I DO see part time roles crop up but they are pretty rare.

Just apply for the full time ones and then when offered the role say, "Yeah, great, i'll take it but BTW, can only do 3 days, that good with you? Cool, see ya Weds".

And seeing how many you can do at once... also the opportunity to totally screw up the car-park when it's busy

Not quite your area of expertise but I reckon you could cope with it:

I just take a big long holiday after every contract to make up for the 5 day weeks.

It can happen, but it's one of those things that falls into your lap, as opposed to being an option thats out there

This - except you use it as a negotiation compromise for your rate rise. "Yes, I'll renew, but I need an extra £50 a day." <client squeal> "Oh, you can't afford it? What if I only work 4 days a week?" Win/win
