Confusion is a natural state of being -
I was speaking to some of the people I work with about this subject and the management of the company also had the idea of outsourcing some work to far off places. The outsourcing companies came in, did their spiel which went down quite well but when it came to the nitty gritty they decided against it. Basically their staff here would have to show the outsourcer's staff everything and how to do it and in the end decided that it would be quicker and cheaper to do it themselves. Another story concerns a major German bank who also decided to outsource it's datacenter to another company. After a couple of months it was decided that the outsourcer was not fullfilling their obligations and the contract was pulled. In the end they did it themselves cheaper. Maybe UK companies should not follow the American model, which is now proving wrong, but the European model which is proving right.“Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.”Comment

I read a bid strategy this week for a managed service deal over 18 months with loaded costs at the front of the deal to guarantee a reduction in costs for the last quater...
This was done at the request of the finance guys... They are actively manipulating the books. They know what they are buying is wrong and not saving them money and they are still doing it...
So to the board of directors, its not financially viable it does not cut costs and will not really give them the service they need but my client still won the deal...
I have never hated old people before, but I am starting to think that if we don't get rid of the old farts and parasites at the top of our companies soon, we will be bankrupt and jobless as they swan into retirement with all the money...I didn't say it was your ******* fault, I said I was blaming you!Comment

We have a generation of kids that are coming up that think that computer literate means using word... We will still have the same percentage of IT guys when my son starts work (another 10 years or more)
I'd say people on CUK are marginally more intelligent than of the average population, for the most part. So try again starting nearer 50%.Comment
