Although Ronaldo is excellent, the rest of Portugal are pretty crap.

Nani is pretty good IMO.

Anyway it is nice to see one of the really good players actually performing well in a big tournament... in the world cup Messi & Ronaldo were both dull.

Pepe - Solid Central Defender for Real Madrid

Nani - One of the most skillful wingers around and plays for Man U. Often gets the most assists in a premier league season

Raul Meireles - Chelsea Midfielder who often gets into the first team

In this tournament there haven't been many standout performances apart from Ronaldo.
Ibrahimavic has played well, as has Pirlo. I would even say Gerrard has played well in parts and probably has the most assists in the tournament.
If it wasn't for Messi then Ronaldo would get the player of the year, however hasnt Messi scored 80+ goals this season for club and country ?

They've both been ridiculously good this season. I'm sure I read somewhere that Ronaldo scored 7 hat-tricks last season alone and I was in the Nou Camp when Messi scored 5 against Leverkusen. It's one of those great rivalries where they keep pushing each other to be even better. No other players are close to them at the moment in my opinion.
