Working with a large radial arm saw and was notching the end of a piece of timber. The aluminium backstop broke and the timber kicked through the saw. There was a brass screw in the other end of the piece of wood that caught my glove and dragged my hand through the saw as as it kicked through. It happened in the blink of an eye.
That's why I won't go near those things, scares the bejesus out of me.
I do have a nice large bandsaw, much gentler although I have heard of accidents on them. There was one bloke that managed to cut himself in half on one.
