Considering that I had several operations over 10 months, they replaced nearly all of the missing bones, rejoined nerves muscles and veins, and I now have almost full use of my hand again (95%).

Microsurgery rules, and I will be eternally grateful to the surgical team at Morriston Hospital in Swansea

I found myself counting the fingers.

Diver - what exactly did you do? What did it look like before they did anything - I assume the first picture is after they did the initial surgery rather than the "look what I did" photo? And what's the metal thing sticking in the hand?

The two metal things are rods (Like kebab skewers) that was drilled through to line up and relocate the remaining bones.
The final photo was taken After it had healed. Slightly narrower and the knuckle on the index in the wrong place, but seviceable.

When you turn it into plan B I want 10%. Though I will settle for a lunch at pizza express. I am not very good at this negotiating lark am I?
